Biomass Boilers & Room Heaters
Biomass
boilers and room heaters burn wood pellets, or wood chips,
or logs, and some will run off more than one of these fuels.
Whilst
biomass heating systems have been around for a very long
time, modern systems are clean and efficient.

Sustainable and Clean
Wood
is a renewable resource: the amount of carbon emitted as it
burns is equivalent to the amount of carbon which was
absorbed as the tree grew. Additionally, wood pellets are
normally manufactured from sawmill waste which could
otherwise become a landfill problem, so producing pellets is
doubly advantageous from an environmental perspective.
It
is most cost effective when a local fuel source is used,
which results in local investment and employment and also
minimises transport miles to your home. |

Convenient and Surprisingly Cheap
Greenthinking offer a range of biomass systems from room
heaters, to boiler systems
which run your central heating and heat your hot water.
Boiler systems range from 8kW (27,000 BTU), suitable for a
small energy efficient house, to boilers capable of heating
offices, business premises or schools. Wood pellet and wood
chip boilers
are fully automated and so are every bit as convenient as
oil or gas heating systems.
Pellets
can be delivered in bags for smaller systems, or in bulk for
large systems. Because of the high efficiency of modern
systems removal of ash is infrequent compared to older
biomass systems.
Log
boilers require more attention to load the logs each day and
they will not light automatically. But if you have a supply
of logs, and the energy and time to load them, it can be a
very low cost way of providing your heating.

Greenthinking Service
Greenthinking can guide you through the requirements (e.g.
space required for fuel storage), suitable fuels available
in your area and the range of suitable products on the
market to meet your needs and budget. Once you have chosen
your product Greenthinking can arrange for installation and
commissioning of your biomass system.
